So, the battle commences once again.

I can very happily inform you, Monochromatic Knight, that I enjoy reading your stuff just as much as you seem to enjoy reading mine. As I said before, the quality of your writing has improved tremendously over the months, and your brain is just twisted and fucked-up enough to be one of the great world wonders.

Da Vinci Code

As far as I remember the Da Vinci Code claimed that Jesus existed in human form - in other words he was a great teacher, if only human. The claim was not that he may not have existed, or that he was a tool to bring forth a certain philosphy, or particular ideas. Most historians will tell you that Jesus may have lived and breathed on planet Earth, but since when are they always right? As far as I see, this particular issue will not be resolved until we invent time travel (something which I probably won't live to see). Dan Brown's ideas on this were relevant, if a bit one-sided.

I am afraid that you are the one who took the crooked approach to the question of the Church and the sacred feminine. Sacred feminine went on the decline quite naturally and way way before the formation of the Christian church (thousands of years actually), Islam, Buddhism, even the Hindu belief-system, which is believed to be the oldest of them all were and are all anti-female (if giving a different role to women than to men, one which may seem inferior, is anti-female). If you look closely you'll see that ALL societies give a 'lesser' role to the female, Christian church is one of many, not the first one, not the strongest one either. This is not a conspiracy, this is history. I say that the Christian church followed a trend here, a trend that was inherent in the state of society at the time (a time of thousands and thousands of years). Look at the way that women have been, and are, trated in the many different cultures, religions, and parts of the world. I double dare you. So did the Church have a hand in the decline of the sacred feminine? But of course, the Church was also pragmatic - this was not a conscious effort to change the world, this was a cultural, nay world trend. A trend, that is coming to a very slow end only now.

Not to mention that the aeon of Isis was not as you picture it. Here you will need to read a little bit of history, archeology and anthropology to come to an answer (actual rather than alternative). The times of so-called equality never existed and the male-dominated era came naturally. As it is slowly fading now - also naturally. And it is fading as religion fades, no way less. It is only fair and logical to praise and worship the female, it is rather foolish to believe in false history. The only place with a female-dominated society in the modern world were certain parts of Papua New Guinea, when they came across the modern world (or rather the other way around), the male took control.

Yes, the Knights Templar existed. Yes, they dabbled in the obscure and the occult. Yes, there are numerous myths about them. But it is impossible to find the truth about any of that simply due to lack of any evidence. The Templars were somehow informed of the plan to murder them and destroyed most of the information about them, the rest was destroyed by the Church and the Inquisition. They were accused of devil worship and worse, which made them quite popular in the human subconscious (people crave what they fear and loathe - look at our news channels), which in turn gave birth to many of the myths about them. There are so many rumours about the Templars that I could sit here for a year writing them down. One of the more common ones is that they formed the Freemasons (many Templars fled to Britain) - this is another myth that most believe to be absolutely untrue. So, if an author wants some credibility, please please do not write 'facts' about the Templars.

To sum up, I do not think that Dan Brown is capable of giving any deeper purpose to his literature. The reason for him repeating himself on numerous occassions (in the style that he writes in, the structure, the plot, and the main actors) is simply that he does not know how to write differently, he rather follows the already proven system. That is what makes him a bad and unimaginative writer (if indeed, an ingenious one at the same time due to his success). I am afraid that Dan Brown has given birth to a false ideal, he has sent humanity on a lame crusade for a non-existent artifact. People following his ideology will not arise as the intellectually superior, they will rather break a leg or two on the journey and come back home limping.

Of course, I may be wrong. I may sound like the most arrogant fucker in town (and in front of a keyboard it is easy to be one) but I do understand that everything I ever wrote in my life is absolute rubbish and should be burned with napalm. What makes me smile at night is that people take the time to read it. THAT'S YOU!!!

Revealing How Marijuana Effects the Brain

A new imaging method could show how cannabinoids affect diseases like schizophrenia.

Scientists have long known that the brain possesses natural chemicals similar to marijuana. While little is known about their precise function in the brain, studies suggest that these compounds, known as cannabinoids, and the receptors they bind to, play a role in diseases, including schizophrenia, Parkinson's disease, and obesity.

Now researchers at Johns Hopkins University have developed a way to image cannabinoid receptors in living animals. The tool will help scientists figure out how these receptors are altered in drug addiction and disease, as well as helping pharmaceutical companies to design drugs that better target this system.

"This is a real breakthrough," says Richard Frank, vice president of medical affairs at GE Healthcare in Princeton, NJ. "Scientists have long believed that the cannabinoid system is involved in diseases, but they've never been able to measure the receptor in living people's brains." The tracer is very specific, and can therefore be used in low doses. That's important, says Frank, because the compound has no pharmacologic effect. In other words, it doesn't make the user feel "high."

Scientists will also be able to study disorders that have been linked to the cannabinoid system, such as schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease. For example, smoking marijuana appears to precipitate symptoms of schizophrenia. Furthermore, schizophrenics seem to have higher levels of cannabinoids in their brains. But animal studies of these diseases have produced conflicting results, says Andrea Giuffrida, a neuroscientist at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. The new imaging method, he says, "will be useful to understand exactly what's going on."

The same is true for Parkinson's disease. Some scientists speculate that cannabinoids play a protective role in the brain, slowing the rate of disease. But knowing exactly what happens to patients as the disease progresses is crucial, says Giuffrida. The new tracer could also aid in drug development. Marijuana is already used to help cancer and AIDS patients with chronic pain or nausea.

A response to: The one and only Da Vinci Code

Sheik of dual phallus', I really enjoy reading your reviews.

Spoiler Alert!

I agree that the book is a good read and a well written thriller. Indeed, many interpretations which Dan Brown presents in his book are based on very flimsy factual foundations. I too read the book recently, and taking into account the controversy it has been kicking up I decided to double check any references the author made with the largest collection of information known to man, the Internet. Most often 'facts' presented in the book were unfounded but in my mind that does not render the overall themes of the fiction novel to be false. True, it is not clear whether the Louvre is constructed of 666 glass pieces or if 5,000,000 women were killed as a result of witch hunts. The latter claim simply lacks evidence and even though these murders were instigated by the church and horrendous, the number is most likely lower.

Contrary to the Sheik, I do think there were more valid thoughts to the novel besides the plausibility of Jesus being married. Regarding this topic specifically, I have begun to question whether Jesus actually existed at all. Even many atheists do not doubt that the man might have actually lived in some point in history but if he had, it would be almost impossible for us to pinpoint exactly when. I am more inclined to think that his story was the result of an accumulation of different mythologies stemming from astrotheology and possibly attributed to a single individual, maybe even several. I highly recommend reading books written by Acharya S on the topic. As for archeological evidence goes I think people forget that probably one of the most lucrative businesses one could go into during that time was the creation/fabrication of sacred items. There are fourteen churches that claim to have Jesus' foreskin! And even if one were to overlook physical objects, the actual location of his birth is also unclear. There were two Bethlehems in Israel during the time of his supposed birth and evidence exists for both the locations to be the 'real' one.

Of course, to me Jesus' or Mary Magdalene's existence is slightly irrelevant to the greater picture. Thanks to faith those who believe in Jesus as presented by the church do not need any evidence at all. However, the practical implication of the church’s propaganda campaign is immense even if they are only smearing a fable.

Many people believe that Roman Emperor Constantine was the first Christian when in fact the first and only Christian was crucified two thousand years ago. Sorry, couldn't resist that. Truthfully, Constantine was not the first Christian at all but a pagan! He saw the ever increasing popularity of Christianity as a threat to the Roman Empire and acted pragmatically by integrating various pagan beliefs and symbolism into the religion. This is partly the result of the Council of Nicaea. The effects of this are felt to this very day! Essentially, I would sum it up as the Church's self declared entitlement to all religious integrity. This equates to the control of all philosophical and therefore all 'scientific' truths as well. Of course, the church is not solely responsible for this since they worked hand in hand with those in power i.e. emperors and kings.

In my eyes, those who seek evidence for Mary Magdalene's existence (the Holy Grail according to the Da Vinci Code) are slightly missing the point. The Da Vinci Code may be focusing on a single individual but the overall theme is the cover up of the sacred feminine.

"As for tracing the end of matriarchal values and the end of the equality of the sexes to the birth of Christ, well, that's even more rubbish."

Careful! Dan Brown isn't equating the end of matriarchal values to the birth of Christ at all! He is blaming the Church and its destructive campaign for the decline of the sacred feminine. And be careful with the term 'matriarchal', the call isn't for a female dominated society but rather a balanced one. This manifests itself in the priory's union ritual in the book as well as various similar magical/fertility rituals throughout history. Similarly, this idea is also one of the meanings behind the title of our blog. Look up Jung's theory of the balance of the anima/animus in the personal unconscious. If his theories are valid in the individual (microcosm) how would they be relevant to the world (macrocosm)? What effect would a religion focused on male dominance, both literal and symbolic, have on the global mind if such a thing existed?

"As to blaming the Christian church for the death of the worship of the female and of nature, well, that's rubbish"

I couldn't disagree with you more on this one my friend. The Church had very good reasons to consciously do this and there is a significant amount of evidence to see how they went about it. If you would like me to go into the topic I could but it would truly warrant an entire post of its own. Please do not assume that I think the Church was solely responsible though. There are other historical factors that also have to be taken into account.

To properly understand a large portion of what is behind the Da Vinci Code one must know the story of a small village in southwestern France called Rennes-le-Château and the story of Bérenger Saunière and Henry Lincoln. I advise reading up on this as well as the fabrications of Pierre Plantard.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the Knights Templar involvement in the story of Rennes-le-Château. It's a historical fact that the Knights Templar existed and that many of them settled in this region of France. The Templar became incredibly powerful after the crusades due to their sophisticated banking techniques (possible for other reasons as well). The castles that cover the landscape to this very day is evidence for this.

According to Henry Lincoln and Erling Haagensen the Knights Templar constructed their castles and churches in incredibly precise geometric patterns which would surprise many scientists today. Haagensen focuses on the Bornholm. Of course, "Critics point out that there is no record of medieval astronomical observatories in Europe, no record of the Templars ever being involved in scientific research of that nature, and in fact never any record of Templars even having a presence in Scandinavia, even in the long list of Templar accusations generated by the investigators of the Inquisition."

There might not have been any astronomical observatories in Europe but the astronomical knowledge that Lincoln claims the Templars had are equivalent to those of the Egyptians and the creators of Stonehenge which predate the Templars by thousands of years. The value of these sights for purposes of astronomy is accepted by virtually all relevent members of the scientific community. It is also curious to note that besides the holy grail the Templar are also rumoured to have gained secret knowledge of astronomy and sacred geometry from the time they spent in the Middle East during the crusades. In regards to the lack of records of research being done by the Templar, it would seem unlikely that no evidence would be found at all, one must also be aware that if they had such knowledge it would be kept secret. Additionally, it is a known that a large number of documents were burned by the Templar when they were rounded up and killed by the hundreds on Friday the 13th of October 1307. I would assume that the most important ones were thrown into the fire first. During their time the Templar also had one of the largest naval fleets in Europe. It would not be out of the question that they might have landed on the island of Bornholm at some point.

I'm aware that these are excuses but if you were to ignore the Island in the Baltic altogether, it still does not explain the incredible geometric positioning of Mountains/Templar castles around the south-west region of France. Read ‘The Holy Place: Discovering the Eighth Wonder of the Ancient World’ by Henry Lincoln.

"I have spoken very briefly with the Monochromatic Knight about this novel and he said that he believed that this book carried a more deep purpose and as such warranted less attention of the negative kind."

To sum up, besides financial gain I think the deeper purpose of this book (and possibly other books by Dan Brown which have common themes) may be to insert certain ideas into global consciousness. It is obvious that the success of his book has drastically increased interest in religion, the esoteric, symbolism, conspiracies and the questioning of authority in general. I think the positive consequences of the book's popularity may outweigh the negative aspects of its factual foundations. It is up to the seeker to question his/her set values and find that which has been hidden from view. Remember, most often the winners write the history books.

The one and only Da Vinci Code

I still find it quite funny that I actually read this book after 2 years of criticizing its ideas. I am one of those people who are too intelectually arrogant and pretentious to read a book which has gathered quite as much popularity among the common folks (for I, the Esoteric Sheik, am of a noble breed - blue blood, two cocks - that sort of thing), seemingly for all the wrong reasons. I wasn't intrigued by the ideas that the author proposed - I already knew a fair amount of them, more than enough to be able to tell where the author was fabricating his ass off. Yes, Dan Brown did a great job in writing an entertaining piece of literature - his novel is very cunningly written and once I picked it up I couldn't let go. It's a good book, it's a great thriller, the story is captivating and the plot well researched - for a novel that is. But that's not the reason that the Da Vinci Code became so big and the reason it did infuriates me. And that is where trouble enters paradise.

Spoiler Alert!

You know, I am a sucker for the Knight Templars, for identification of the faults of Christianity, and all that esoteric 'nonsense', the worship of Isis above all. What pisses me off is that the author portrayed numerous pieces of information as facts, oftentimes these pieces of information were speculation at best, bullshit at worse. As far as I know the controversy around Mary Magdalene and the possibility of Jesus's marriage are the only possibilities for truth in Dan Brown's novel, out of the truly controversial topics. There is some archeological evidence of Jesus's existence, logic beckons that he had a wife, him being Jewish and all. Mary Magdalene could have been very easily smeared by the church, they have done worse. As to the outrageous claims about the Holy Grail, the Templars, Da Vinci and so on - fabrications one and all. As to blaming the Christian church for the death of the worship of the female and of nature, well, that's rubbish (he claims that 5.000.000 women were killed by the Inquisition - is he sane or did the 0 on his keyboard stick?). As for tracing the end of matriarchal values and the end of the equality of the sexes to the birth of Christ, well, that's even more rubbish.

So, once again, I have to pat Dan Brown on the back for writing a good novel. But I also have to give him a slap or two for using a Harvard professor as him main character to give credibility to his bullshit, for making a Louvre curator a grandmaster of a non-existent secret society, for making the villain English (isn't this American cliche too proliferated already?) and so on.

I have spoken very briefly with the Monochromatic Knight about this novel and he said that he believed that this book carried a more deep purpose and as such warranted less attention of the negative kind. I will let him defend the Da Vinci Code at his own time. En Garde!

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

In the past weeks I have done few things of major interest for anyone but myself, which is the prime reason for the lack of my aticles on this blog. Except, of course, that I read like a beast and consequently my excessively large brain carries even more amazing amounts of knowledge than before. Knowledge, that I am willing to share - for a price that is (your time).

Robert T. Kiyosaki has become a bit of a celebrity, following his series of get-rich quick books, amply named Rich Dad, Poor Dad. In his books Kiyosaki explains how the rich think, as opposed to the middle-class and poor, who never get anywhere financially and die in debt. His formula is simple, too simple perhaps. Kiyosaki's main arguments are:

1) sending your children to good schools to get good education, followed by a university degree, is not sufficient for financial success. Good jobs create more money, money which is usually ill spent, excessively taxed and lost in ventures which create no successive money - consequently good jobs do not differentiate the financially successful from the financially retarded. That is caused by the lack of investment and financial education given in schools. To be successful in life, school education is no longer satisfactory.
2) the poor and the middle-class are all players in a 'rat race' - a race that has been transcended by the rich. That means that the poor seek jobs for financial security, yet the more they get paid, the more everything costs them. They fall in debt, usually for the majority of their lives. They pick up liabilities instead of assets, mainly due to insufficient financial knowledge, and lose even more money as a consequence. The trick of the rich is to build one's assets (things that produce more money than they cost - eg. renting houses, buying stocks, bonds) so that they pay off one's expenses and liabilities - thus money coming in from outside one's day-to-day job will pay for everything, leaving one with excess money to do with as one pleases. That is what escaping the 'rat race' means.

It is quite sad that I had to read the whole book to be left with these ideas, while for the reader of this blog, those two short paragraphs suffice. The ideas in the book are fairly accurate as far as I am aware, they do give a good explanation for the seemingly irrational decision-making processes of the indebted people of America and Western Europe. The book also offers a way to escape this world of indebtedness and over-taxation, but it fails to give any firm ideas on how exactly to do it. The idea of more kinds of education is equally interesting.

What will bother most potential readers is the style in which the book is written. The author repeats himself on more points than one, forcing the reader's brain to submission. Many personal stories from Kiyosaki's life are meant to make the story more believable and to help carry across the main ideas. Instead, they infuriate the more intelligent reader.

All in all, Rich Dad, Poor Dad is not a great book, but the ideas that it carries are worth noticing. It seems a sad fact to me that a book like this will not help the world get richer or more successful. But it will make Mr. Kiyosaki richer for sure, it already has done just that. And isn't it a shame that a book with such horrible pink cover ever became a bestseller?

Thermite and the WTC

Steven E. Jones from Brigham Young University who previously proposed that Thermite was most likely responsible for the collapse of WTC has received an 'unofficial' sample from the WTC site. After the preliminary analysis the material was found to contain Iron, Sulfur, Manganese, and Potassium. The presence of these is significant evidence which supports the theory that thermite was used to destroy the buildings on 9/11. I'm sure you will hear more about this as further analysis continues.

Forty-Six & 2

I highly recommend the album Ænima by the band Tool. Here are the lyrics to a song relevant to one of the topics I mentioned earlier.

Forty-Six & 2

My shadow's
shedding skin and
I've been picking
Scabs again.
I'm down
Digging through
My old muscles
Looking for a clue.

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been.
I've been wallowing in my own confused
And insecure delusions
For a piece to cross me over
Or a word to guide me in.
I wanna feel the changes coming down.
I wanna know what I've been hiding in

My shadow.
Change is coming through my shadow.
My shadow's shedding skin
I've been picking
My scabs again.

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been.
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic
And insecure delusions.

I wanna feel the change consume me,
Feel the outside turning in.
I wanna feel the metamorphosis and
Cleansing I've endured within

My shadow
Change is coming.
Now is my time.
Listen to my muscle memory.
Contemplate what I've been clinging to.
Forty-six and two ahead of me.

I choose to live and to
Grow, take and give and to
Move, learn and love and to
Cry, kill and die and to
Be paranoid and to
Lie, hate and fear and to
Do what it takes to move through.

I choose to live and to
Lie, kill and give and to
Die, learn and love and to
Do what it takes to step through.

See my shadow changing,
Stretching up and over me.
Soften this old armor.
Hoping I can clear the way
By stepping through my shadow,
Coming out the other side.
Step into the shadow.
Forty six and two are just ahead of me.

Metatron's Cube

So I've been reading an interesting book on sacred geometry. At one point the book mentions the theory of 46 + 2 which appears an many other texts and lyrics I have read. The basic idea concerns the evolution of consciousness through chromosomes. The Aborigines in Australia have 42 + 2 chromosomes whereas most other humans have 44 + 2. Some argue that there are steps in our evolutionary process in which 2 more chromosomes are added until we reach the stage of 52 chromosomes (human perfection). In the book I am reading they refer to Metatron as possibly one of these perfect beings, a 55 foot tall blue man. The images of such a being reminded me of the film Fantastic Planet which I highly recommend.

Fascinated by the legend of the Metatron I searched the internet for more information. According to wikipedia:

Metatron is the name of an angel in Judaism, some branches of Christianity and Islamic tradition Witchcraft. However, there are no references to him in the Jewish Tanakh (Old Testament), the Christian Scriptures (New Testament) or any Islamic source. There is no consensus as to his genesis or the role that he plays in the hierarchy of Heaven and Hell.

The Zohar calls Metatron "the Youth", identifies him as the angel that led the people of Israel through the wilderness after their exodus from Egypt, and describes him as a heavenly priest.

In Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's novel Good Omens, the Metatron appears as the voice of God. An explanatory footnote likens his role to a Presidential Press Secretary. offers more interesting information:

The myths of Metatron are extremely complicated, and at least two separate versions exist. The first version states he came into being when God created the world, and immediately assumed his many responsibilities. The second claims that he was first a human named Enoch, a pious, good man who had ascended to Heaven a few times, and eventually was transformed into a fiery angel. Some later books adopt the first version, some the second, and in other literature both are combined. Despite the elaborate debate, the origin of Metatron's name is not clear. Many attempts have been made to explain it, but none of them is satisfactory, since the word has no real meaning or root in any language. Some authors think it may be derived from private meditations and visions, or even glossolalia.

Metatron is one of the most important angels in the heavenly hierarchy. He is a member of a special group that is permitted to look at God's countenance, an honor most angels do not share. In the literature, Metatron is often referred to as "the Prince of the Countenance."

In the Babylonian Talmud, Metatron is mentioned only three times, but the references are important. All three relate to the problem of Metatron's immense power, which may have caused some people to confuse him with God. In later literature he was even mentioned as the "lesser Yahweh" -- a serious blasphemy for the strictly Monotheistic Judaism. Another legend states that God himself named him so, out of affection. A fascinating legend tells of a particularly interesting and famous Jewish heretic, Elisha ben Avuyah, who saw Metatron sitting by God's side, occupying the same type of throne. This made Elisha suspect that two equal powers operated in the universe -- God and Metatron. The legend continues to explain that he made a false assumption, which indeed cost Elisha his position within the Jewish community. According to these scholars, God permitted Metatron to sit because, as God's scribe, he recorded the good deeds of the Nation of Israel. This story works very well with two of Metatron's many heavenly tasks: a scribe and an advocate, defending the Nation of Israel in the heavenly court.

Enoch, a pious teacher, scribe and leader of his people, is famed for the part he took in the tragedy of the fallen angels. Living during a time of great sins, around the flood, he had visited Heaven more than once. However, the time was ripe for a most significant trip. One night, two angels woke him up and commanded him to prepare for his journey. They took him on their wings, and showed him all the Heavens and their inhabitants, including a side trip to Paradise and to the place of punishment and torture of the sinners, which strangely enough was located not too far from paradise. He observed the activity of the sun and the moon, and made a visit of consolation to rebellious angels, the Grigori, succeeding in bringing them closer to God. After the tour, the great Angels Gabriel and Michael lead him straight to God's Throne.

Sitting next to God, Enoch was instructed in wisdom, and using his skills as a scribe, prepared three hundred and sixty-six books. When he learned everything, a most significant thing happened. God revealed to him great secrets -- some of which are even kept secret from the angels! These included the secrets of Creation, the duration of time the world will survive, and what will happen after its demise. At the end of these discussions, Enoch returned to earth for a limited time, to instruct everyone, including his sons, in all he learned. After thirty days, the angels returned him to Heaven.

And then the divine transformation took place. Additional wisdom and spiritual qualities caused Enoch's height and breadth to become equal to the height and breadth of the earth. God attached thirty-six wings to his body, and gave him three hundred and sixty-five eyes, each as bright as the sun. His body turned into celestial fire -- flesh, veins, bones, hair, all metamorphosed to glorious flame. Sparks emanated from him, and storms, whirlwind, and thunder encircled his form. The angels dressed him in magnificent garments, including a crown, and arranged his throne. A heavenly herald proclaimed that from then on his name would no longer be Enoch, but Metatron, and that all angels must obey him, as second only to God.

You can also read the following pdf about Enoch's connection to the Slavonic Apocalypse and the etymology of his name.

The Slavonic text provides rudimentary descriptions of several traditional Merkabah titles of Enoch/Metatron, (e.g., "the Lad," "the Scribe," "the Prince of the World," "the Prince of Presence")

What really caught my eye was Metatron's Cube.

In early kabbalist scriptures, Metatron supposedly forms the cube from his soul. This Cube can later be seen in Christian art, where it appears on his chest or floating behind him. Metatron's cube is also considered a holy glyph, and was often drawn around an object or person to ward off demons and satanic powers. This idea is also present in alchemy, in which the cube was favored as a containment circle or creation circle.

Once I saw these something clicked in my mind. I've seen this rotating cube before but from the inside. I had an extremely intense dream once. It was a divine moment of truth but the sky was full of diamonds as well. I dreamt of a being in a fleshy red cubed container and in the middle of this container was another cube which rotated. I can't recall if the container I was in was rotating as well. The cube in the middle had 3D checkers on it and at each corner it was connected with a blue bolt of energy to the larger exterior cube. I didn't mention this to anyone for a while because I thought the experience was a fluke, just eye-candy. Before experiencing all this I was incredibly nervous to almost the point of throwing up. I was incredibly afraid that something bad would happen and it took me about 45 minutes to calm down.

Almost a half a year has passed and I now realize what I experienced. I find it quite appropriate that when I overcame my fear of being swallowed by the great abyss to never return, I dreamt of being immersed into a holy glyph which was 'drawn around people to ward of demons and satanic powers'. It's quite comforting.

The Worship of Isis

In the outer, he is the male, the lord, the giver of life. But in the inner he taketh life at her hands as she bendeth over him, he kneeling. Therefore should he worship the Great Goddess, for without Her he hath no life, and every woman is Her priestess. In the face of every woman let him look for the features of the goddess, watching her phases through the flow and return of the tides to which his soul answereth; awaiting her call, as he needs must, aching in his barrenness.
Each woman is a priestess of the goddess. She is the potent queen of the underworld, whose kisses magnetize and give life. In the inner she is all-potent, she is the fertilizer. She causeth the male to create, for without desire, life goes not forth.
It is her call in the darkness that awakeneth: for in the inner, the male is inert. Not of his own life does he arise, but for desire of her. Until her hands touch him, he is as the dead in the kingdom of the shades; he is death-in-life.
O daughters of Isis, adore the goddess, and in her name give the call that awakens and rejoices. So shall ye be blessed of the goddess and live with fulness of life.
The wise of old beheld all created things as the luminous garment of the Creator: and in the ways of Nature they discerned the ways of God: and they adored God made manifest in Nature, saying, In Nature is God made manifest; therefore let Nature be unto me the manifestation of God.
Isis is the All-woman, and all women are Isis. Osiris is the All-man, and all males are Osiris. Isis is all that is negative, receptive, and latent. Osiris is all that is dynamic and potent. That which is latent in the outer is potent in the inner; and that which is potent in the outer is latent in the inner. Therefore is Isis both Persephone and Aphrodite; and Osiris, the giver of life, is likewise the Lord of the realms of death. This is the law of alternating polarity, which is known to the wise.
Man should not for ever be potent, but should lie latent in the arms of Persephone, surrendering himself. Then she who was dark and cold as outer space before the creative World, is made queen of the underworld, crowned by his surrender, and her kisses become potent upon his lips.
Awakened by her kisses he shall rise, the all-potent, and his desire shall call golden Aphrodite unto him. But without the kisses of Persephone, he sleepeth in Hades for ever.
And she who is priestess of Isis ruleth over the subtle, inner tides of the hearts of men as Levanah, the moon. As Persephone she draweth him down into the darkness that he may be receptive, negative; as Aphrodite she awakeneth him to light and life. She answereth with her changing phases to the needs of his secret life, and he, fulfilled of her, is made glorious in his strength. And she, so awakening, so calling, so answering, is filled with fullness of life, for she is beloved of the goddess.
